The Clean Power Plan recently proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency is aimed at cutting carbon pollution from U.S. power plants by 30 percent from 2005 levels. If implemented, it will be the first time for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from existing power plants to be regulated on the federal level.
